Easter :-)

We had a fun, laid-back family Easter this year, and I took a ton of pictures, so just keep scrolling (and scrolling...) and eventually you'll get to the end, heheh. :-)

Katie's Birthday :-)

My birthday! :-) We just had a little party at home, but it was fun. :-) Here I am with my ice cream birthday cake. I like ice cream cakes...Dairy Queen isn't as good as Baskin Robbins, but those are hard to find out here...


I was a dip and forgot to have the clerk at Dairy Queen write "Happy Birthday" on my cake, so Dave did it for me, and did it very nicely too. (It wasn't his fault the silly gel frosting tube insisted upon being watery at points.) :-)

Valentine's Day!

Emmett, Vera Gail and Gareth with their Valentine's Day cake. It seems it is becoming tradition to make a red velvet cake for the occasion, and the children insisted that it also be a heart shape (because last year my cake did not come out of the Bundt pan properly, and when sliced, it was actually heart-shaped, haha). Needless to say, I shall not be going into the professional cake-making business. ;-)

Snow, snow, snow!

We are having some snow days with these winter storms, and it's just gorgeous out and the kids have been having a blast playing in all the snow. And since I have to go shovel more of it off the driveway, I'm just posting the pictures without captions. ;-)
